Argentina Potash was proud to be a supporting sponsor of The Argentine Case: The Challenge of Economic Growth After Decades of Populism, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its U.S.–Argentina Business Council in Washington, D.C.

Argentine President Javier Milei received the Chamber’s inaugural “Global Champion of Free Enterprise Award,” recognizing his leadership in Argentina’s turnaround from economic crisis to growth. President Milei also delivered a keynote address to business leaders and senior government representatives from both countries on Argentina’s economic outlook, investment climate, and growth opportunities.

South America is one of the world’s largest potash-consuming regions, yet remains heavily dependent on imports. Argentina Potash is working to change that through its flagship El Ceibo project, backed by project-development funding from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

With potash now designated a U.S. critical mineral, El Ceibo is positioned to become a new swing producer for the United States and its Western Hemisphere allies, strengthening regional supply chains and food security.

“President Milei’s reforms are opening Argentina to long-term investment, and El Ceibo is a clear example of what that partnership can deliver for the Americas,” said Dr. Chris Cornelius, Chairman and CEO of Argentina Potash. “We thank the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.–Argentina Business Council for hosting this event, and we congratulate President Milei on this well-deserved recognition.”
